The following are a list of rules that the admins have come up with to help maintain a positive experience while role-playing.
Please:
1. This is an American/English forum, so we would appreciate it if you at least tried to keep up with the linguistics of the language. Therefore, try to make what you post at least somewhat legible.
2. As romantic as lovemaking can be to partake in (or for the rest of us to watch *winks*), please keep the sexual content to a minimum. If and when a couple does have sexual relations, please do not get graphic with it; we do not need a full blow-by-blow (pun intended) of where person A's hands are and what person B's tongue is doing. Also, only two people having sex with each other at a time.
3. Remember that in role-play, we are play-acting as the characters we have selected. Therefore, do not act out of character; you are not sitting in front of a computer, but living in a different time as a different person. The words "computer", "my keyboard sucks ass", or "sorry, I had problems getting online" or anything along those lines should never be spoken in the role-play section of the forum.
4. For the drama of it all, the admins have taken off the block on crude language and curse words. We do ask, however, that you keep the cussing to a minimum, lest we are forced to restrict such language once more.
5. As much as I hate to say this, I must warn all of you: should you go away for a long period of time, you will no longer be a role-player. Certain roles need to be maintained and we can't have people missing in action. It would be sensible to alert either of the admin that you are going away, or give someone your password and permission to maintain your account in your absence.
6. Before making anyone a God, Goddess, or Demigod, please run it by us just once. There's some goodness in having mortals here, so go easy on the ambrosia. Really.
7. It's common in role-playing that some couples might have the desire for a lovechild. Don't get me wrong; the admins see nothing wrong with procreation. It's just that we don't want a massive baby boom. Please check it with us first, and if we approve, don't have a three-day pregnancy; this is NOT the Sims2! You will be required to wait a minimum of three months of together time with your significant other to even get pregnant, so the pregnancy itself will not be one quick pop. A minimum of six months pregnancy is required. Male/female, male/male, and female/female couples are all allowed to have babies. In the same-sex scenario, that is where it will become necessary for whoever role-plays as Aphrodite to intervene.
8. Just like in Season 5, "Amphipolis Under Siege", Athena belongs to Ilainus, and vice versa. They are just too cute to be apart.
9. Harassment of other role-players is strictly prohibited. You will be given one warning in such an offense, and should you ignore it and continue, you will have your IP banned and your username deleted.
10. Comments to other role-players based on sexual, racial, or any other kind of prejudice will not be tolerated. You will be given one warning.
11. No one or two word replies. Try to write out at least one full, developed sentence.
12. No abbreviations, such as "L.O.L.", "L.M.A.O.", etc. If you must laugh, write "*laughs*".
13. In the role-playing arena, only certain types of threads are allowed to be made. Each couple will have their own hut, and those who are single shall also have their own hut. Now, should a couple that is established wish to move in with each other, or get married/joined, you must follow the following guidelines.
a. The couple must have been together for at least 2 months.
b. The admin must be checked with first.
c. Here is the actual process. The couple must choose which one is moving into the other's home. Why, you ask? Because the moment that the person moves into their significant other's thread, the other thread, from their single days, will be deleted or locked.
14. To be in a hut with the people living there, you must first WALK IN, or, if you're a god/goddess, POP IN! You cannot just BE there. Make an entrance, whether simple or flashy.
15. You can fight all you want in your hut, but the REAL battle is on the battlefield. Battles will be on the date and time that the admin chooses.
16. One signature picture per member, please. Members who have more than one picture in their signature - well, those multiple pictures will be deleted. I'm sure you don't want the forum to load slow, do ya?
17. None of the characters in the Xenaverse are all powerful. If you take a hit, and you're mortal, you're down. Not necessarily dead, but down.
18. Just because we're in a twisted "reality" stance in this role-playing game, you cannot kill someone in battle. Wound them severely, yes. Try to kill them, yes. Do not, however, go through with it.
19. I know that this is a public online forum, but please, if you're going to have sex, only do it in your own personal huts, or that of your partner's.
20. If you or a couple are going to go on vacation (as your role-player), please let us know where so we can make a vacation thread for you.
21. No spamming with advertisements for other websites. If we catch you, we'll delete all the posts, and possibly suspend your account.
22. Banners should be no bigger than 500x150. Any banner that is bigger than that will be immediately removed without your consent.
23. Copying of this forum in any context will NOT be tolerated. Proper permission is needed. You will only receive one warning.
24. Copying of any skins from this forum will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances.
